I have been privileged to work in professional roles that have allowed me to support others since 1996 and I still feel enthusiastic everyday to share in the personal journey of others through counselling. Whether I am working with families, couples, adolescents or children, people who access my services are encouraged to explore their own personal values to help guide them toward the meaningful change that they are looking for in their lives. The therapeutic methods I use support improved connection with others while also increasing personal and interpersonal insight that promotes understanding and compassion for ourselves and others. I have the flexibility as both a licensed professional counsellor and a play therapist to customize services to meet the specific need of the individual, couple or family by offering creative and expressive interventions such as art, sandtray, storytelling, etc. or more traditional talk therapy techniques to be able to help people of all ages. With a balance of compassion and straightforwardness, people seeking out relational counselling as a couple or family can feel confident and comfortable to discuss concerns openly within the safe environment that I can create in sessions. We all face challenges at times that leaves us wondering how to move forward in our lives or relationships. You don't have to continue the struggle alone.

I am comfortable working with people of all genders, sexualities and faiths. I view couple, parent and family difficulties as relational in nature and I primarily suggest attachment-based methods to facilitate repair. I can offer a fun and developmentally appropriate experience for children as young as 4 years old as well as adolescents, and encourage parents to tailor strategies to meet the specific needs of their child. My fees are $150 per hour + GST and insurance providers are inconsistent about covering counselling expenses through extended health policies. Please check your policy about reimbursement of services from a Masters Level trained registered counsellor or play therapist.
