My personalized approach as your psychologist is to foster in you the ability to be self-motivated toward individualized growth. On top of this, realizing and having self-acceptance that you are capable of this new emotional and psychological development needs to be the foundation of our journey together. Although some people come to psychotherapy with the misconception that they are going to be "told what to do," this is not how I work with people. Rather, after taking an in-depth Life Style History and we take some brief psychological tests to assess for depression, anger and anxiety levels and other negative emotions, we well create some goals and objectives for you to work toward. Typically, these goals are designed to: 1. Enhance rational thinking levels, 2. Learn aspects of mindful meditation, 3. Learn and apply cognitive based stress reduction and enhance your overall wellness - both physically and psychologically.
My Practice & Services
I accept a variety of insurances including but not limited to: Blue Cross, Blue Care Network, Priority, Medicare, Medicaid, TriCare, Aetna, United Health Care and Magellan. Please check with any other companies if they have me listed and what they have required and if you have met your calendar year annual deductible and then ask what the co-pay is if there is one. A co-pay can vary from $5 to $50 per session depending on your policy and the corporation you work for. Please note: All medical insurance requires a medical / psychological diagnosis if it is going to be billed on. Your fee is due at the end of each session with cash or check only. Ongoing hourly rates are $160 for 50 minute sessions and $200 for the initial session that includes testing and making a diagnosis for billing that the insurance company requires. All non-insurance covered treatment is $160 per session.
