My philosophy of psychotherapy and my work as a career counselor is based on a positive strengths-oriented approach. I have been in practice since 1995 and I primarily work with adults who are dissatisfied with their career and/or who struggle with anxiety, depression and interpersonal issues. In therapy we work as a team to establish a solid, trusting relationship and to identify, understand and overcome the internal and external barriers that are getting in the way of you living the life you want to be living.
My Practice & Services
My fee is $125 per hour session. I do not file insurance claims and am not on insurance panels but my services are typically covered by most PPO's and I do provide monthly statements for those who want to file with their insurance companies. I do also accept credit and debit cards, personal checks and cash.
On the Fence About Going to Therapy?
Making a decision to start therapy can be life-changing and scary. I remember what it was like for me the first time I walked into a therapist's office. At first it was difficult to talk with a complete stranger about my life. I encourage you to do a lot of research and interview as many therapists as you can by phone or in person if that is possible. It is really important that you find someone that you feel you can trust and who has experience in the areas in which you are seeking help. Trust your gut and if you don't feel a connection - even if it is someone who has been recommended - keep looking!
